Naked and Afraid takes two participants, 1 male, and 1 female, and drops them in the middle of the wilderness with nothing more than a satchel, one survival item of their choice and the knowledge in their own heads to help them sustain themselves for 21 days.

Not everyone is capable of sticking it out in the harsh conditions of the wilderness. It takes a certain kind of person too even want to apply for the show.
